AI Content Policy

The Greenfort International Journal of Applied Medical Science (GIJAMS) follows the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) regarding the responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI) in scholarly publishing.

AI technologies may be used only as supportive tools in manuscript preparation and must not replace human authorship, scientific judgment, or ethical responsibility.

Authorship and Accountability
AI tools cannot be credited as authors. Only individuals who meet the journal’s authorship criteria may be listed as authors. Authors are fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and ethical compliance of all content, including any content assisted by AI tools.

Permissible Use
AI tools may be used for:

  • Language editing and grammar correction
  • Improving clarity and readability
  • Formatting and organization support

Such use must not alter the scientific meaning or conclusions of the work.

Prohibited Use
AI tools must not be used to:

  • Generate original research data or results
  • Fabricate or falsify data, images, or analyses
  • Produce entire manuscripts without substantial human intellectual contribution
  • Replace critical scientific interpretation

Improper use of AI is considered research misconduct.

Disclosure Requirement
Consistent with COPE and ICMJE guidance, authors must transparently disclose any use of AI tools in the manuscript. Non-disclosure of material AI use may lead to rejection, correction, or retraction.

Editorial and Reviewer Use
Editors and reviewers may use AI tools for limited technical support (e.g., language checks or similarity screening). Editorial decisions and peer-review judgments are made exclusively by human experts. Confidential manuscript content must not be entered into non-secure AI platforms.
